    and now I can't do legs or deads. :( Any ideas for exercises I can do in the meantime to hopefully avoid complete strength loss? Squats, calf raises, leg press are all out. It hurts to walk.

    Just focus on keeping as much of your upper body and core strong till you can train lower body again imo. No need to aggravate anything

    I think that would be funny. Not gonna do it though. I think one-legged squats would be cool to try.

    in all seriousness you should still workout 1 leg. You can do leg press with 1 leg and of course legs curls and extensions.

    I rolled my ankle pretty bad about a year and a half ago and I still did 1 legged deadlifts. It's actually not so difficult and you would be surpised how much weight u can actually do. Although it would be safer to not do them but thats up to you.
