My Kimber has been flawless. Its accurate clean or super dirty, feeds and extracts clean or dirty, fires factory or reloads with no problems. I have the "dreaded" external extractor too. Last night a fellow 1911 owner asked me to shoot it cuz hes seen me at a few indoor nights and asked if I had any problems I said nope. He said he had a springfield and was all excited to get it and everyone was watching him shoot its first shot and it jammed. LOL

SO IMO Kimber > * 1911s I love it so much Im planning on buying A Warrior or Desert Warrior next.

Pics as requested. I originally wanted black but the dealer I bought mine from only had stainless left and they take 4 months or longer to get in Canada, gay. I waited for this one for 6 months so it was stainless or nothing. In the end Im glad I got stainless it hides the holster wear alot better than a black would. I've got around 2400 to 2600 rounds though it, bought it in Nov 05.

Mine is a TLE/RLII currently with Smooth Carbon Creations grips (I have alumagrips as well), I use Wilson Combat 47D mags (best mags IMO), Surefire X200 light, custom trigger, Sidearmour holster, S&A Magwell coming if I win the ebay auction, and Blade Tech quad mag pouch on order. 1911forums.com is the place to do your 1911 shopping IMO.

More details why you think why you think?

I like the wilsons.... really durable, plastic follower so they are a lil smoother I think.... supposedly made from the thickest steel? whats not to love?

if you can, try to find a 1st generation Kimber....they are considered to be better fit & finish and all-around better pieces than the newer series II kimbers...plus, the 1st gens typically go for between 500-700 depending on the condition....u can usually find a good deal easily...i got a 1st gen. Kimber classic custom target (internal extractor) for 750....but it came with six chip mccormick mags and a leather yaqui-style holster. so all in all the deal wasnt terrible.

I heard that all the new 06s went back to the internal extractor..... again mine has 0 problems with the external. I was a lil nervous shooting mine for the first time after reading all the negatives, but so far its been better than i expected.

You're correct. I purchased an Ultra Carry II a month or so ago and it's got the internal extractor. I've had zero problems and I have no problem trusting my life to this little sucker.

Sorry no pics currently, but here's the pic from Kimber:

except for a magazine problem, i've had no complaints with my Pro Carry II and it does have the external extractor.
