    ...when a NG brigade commander calls my house and asks for me to come speak with one of his deploying battalions. Is this something that usually happens?

    And it's not like I'm important, I'm a newly promoted SPC.

    Yeah, but as a signal O-4 you probably know the limits as to how extensive signal really is.
