...but I needed something to carry it in, so I got this:
Congrats man, have fun with her
Nice shopping cart!!!!!!!!!!!
Lease or buy?
good for you
i hope you enjoy it anyway.
i guess with Rotor's new with warranty is really the only way you can go.
no gym for home?
as in, he couldnt save a fortune and buy one used because the upkeep costs would be very high.
Bought. MSRP $29885, paid $24321. I did alright.
It's nice to be back in a Japmobile again.
i guess thats not really bad at all
how fast are these things?
0-60 and quarter mile
A quick Google search shows 0-60 in 6, 0-100 in 16, and 1/4mi in 14. Obviously not the fastest car on Earth, but man is it comfortable.
14 flat? Or 14.9?
14 flat isnt really all that bad.
2004 Mazda RX-8 5.8 14.49 (6 speed) (MT Mar ‘04)
thats not too bad. Should feel quickish. Still faster than a MS3.
Is it really? Huh.
It definitely feels faster -- but even if I'm only gaining 30-50hp and probably losing some torque, I'm also gaining 50% higher revs and losing 500 pounds and moving the driveaxle to the back. It's definitely something to be sitting around waiting for the engine to hit redline even in 1st gear because it can go so damn high.
did you test drive the 370z or were you too afraid of it's power?
a 370 would probably cost 10k more by the sounds of things
he paid hot hatch price for it, i cant really hate on that
speed 3 stock for stock is faster than the rx-8, maybe not in the quarter, but it is faster. put a cuople grand in the speed and its WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY faster than the rx-8, that said the rx-8 is the funner car around corners.
Not bad. Is that OTD price or before TTL?
That's the number I wrote on the check. All included.
Not afraid of its power, I just really wanted an RX-8. I've had my eye on it since the first prototype came out back in '99, so really this is the car I've wanted the entire time I've owned a car.
That being said, if I drive it a few years and decide I'd really rather have something else, then I'll get something else. But for now I'm happy.
rx-8 is lighter and more fun in the corners. 50-50 weight ratio ftw.
same thing i said when this was shown
sadly i havnt owned one yet
Oh, and yes, I did get the 6-speed, just in case anyone was wondering if I pussied out and bought the automatic.
That's pretty slick; the tail looks 90's though. What year is that?
