I've used all sorts of range ammo, a few different types of win JHP's without a malfunction. Even after I cut my striker spring. So can WMD love my SR9 like I do now? :x:

If its really been run hard in a training or competition environment for 1K and not failed then, yeah, I'd consider that reliable.

If its all been casual plinking, then not really IMO.

SR9's come with a 10 - 12lb trigger :hs: Completely manageable for a combat pistol But I wanted tighter groups.

If it were my personal gun, yes, I would consider it reliable at 1000rds.

    In one range trip? Yes.

Over the span of a few months? No.

I understand the argument that cleaning the gun every few hundred rounds disproves durability but... What does that really matter? When will someone ever be carrying a gun that is a 1000 rounds dirty? Just a thought.

The day I shot with the cut striker spring my groups were tighter.. mind you I'm talking about shooting as fast as I can while aiming each shot. With slow controlled shots from a rest I'm sure the lightened pull would make no difference.

  19. I see your point, but I think the idea with reliability testing is to test it in the most adverse conditions.

No amount of rounds down the pipe would make me love that pistol like you do. :hs:

:wavey: I don't think my 19 has been cleaned in two years or so. Who knows how much has been put down the pipe.

I can't not clean any of my guns after I shoot them. It's just part of the obsession.

That being said, I hope you all aren't carrying dirty guns.

Actually I do... I felt like dry firing my 36 tonight. When I cleared it and looked in the breech I realized I haven't cleaned it since I last shot it. After I was done, chambered a round and holstered it back up. I never pay any mind to it.

I do clean my guns occasionally but it is never more than a wet patch down the tube followed by a dry one, some q-tips on the rails and the breech face, and then wipe it down.
