Well I decided to change it.
This is what I've got now.
ib TimesNewRoman. I hate Times new, but I didn't pick it.
Clone out that light on top center.
does the blue really need to be that high contrasted?
looks like a cartoon
Are you sure this is the kind of stuff you want to be known for?
Looks washed out to me
is this a serious post? it keeps getting worse.
Crank that saturation slider.
I thought the previous rendition had potential and was at least cool... i really don't like this one.. sorry bro
punch whoever your graphic designer is in the nuts and then push him down a flight of stairs.
worst use of fonts ever.
You need to give this up.
Those colors are not 'dave hill' or any sort of throwback/retro look or whatever.
They're just wrong.
i think it looks absolutely awful.
Sorry to jump on the band wagon but I'm going to agree with others and say this looks a little rank. I don't mind the processing of the stadium and grass so much but it's just the un-natural look of the people but whatever works for you.
That blue is godawful, please be a joke....
Like the fusionz06 friend thinking his HDR is cool.
This, is just not cool or funny, or appealing... Anyone that pays you to do this setup is blind, and stupid.
I've printed many covers on risograph, printing presses and so on, that blue once done in an ink tank with the other colors is going to look like absolute ass...
It'll wayyyy overtake the rest of the panflip
This is odd, I saved it, and opened it in PS, and it looks fine with an adobe colorspace,
Let firefox manage color and the blue is too horridly contrasted
yep, just did it and it looks COMPLETELY different.
Makes me wonder how FF is fucking up the rest of the colors im seeing, and how its so different to people on different browsers.
this is screen from forefox, and one from PS
Fucking color management. I'm not super proud of it by any means, but I didn't think it was THAT bad. Most people that aren't into photo that I have shown it to like it.
This is what we ended up rolling with - make sure u view in in a color corrected space.
Fuck, I just noticed the light pole isn't right. Gotta get that fixed. I need to stop working after a certain hour.
The copy, which I will be focusing on because my opinion of the photo remains the same, is easily some of the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. The typeface is out of place and the spacing is wrong on so many levels. The white text is evenly spaced (but touching the white border) between both left and bottom borders, but the black text is pulled very far from the bottom and looks uncomfortable to the point where I cringe to look at it.
The Woodforrest Bank Stadium text is clearly added later and doesn't blend with the photo at all. The naming convention of the school seems to be hit and miss as well. Is it OakRidge or Oak Ridge? So instead of removing the ugly, crooked light it's now prominently placed and poorly masked in front of the text as to draw any focus to the copy waaay the fuck away. Instead of using a proper typeface with condensed and extended variations, the text is instead squashed well outside of any common sense as to wring the last bit of dignity from an already abused typeface.
I've saved the worst for last... and that is the hideous, grotesque, could not be anymore internets-in-1999 if it wanted to be, gradient border with the oh-so-classy squared corners, BUT WAIT! There's STRIPES! The fact that this was even done, even just this once, confirms that there is no god, and whomever did this is fortunate because had there been a god, he would certainly be going to the deepest ring of hell for this abomination unto both god and my eyes.
