Seems tacked on. Bioshock was sik without it and I don't see it being that great. Should spend that time making the single player better.
i think they're going by the logic that, multiplayer does SELL games (else most people would just rent it and beat it in a weekend). i agree it seems tacked on and im actually glad about that, it means their main focus still is on the main storyline.
The first one was the most overrated pile of shit I have ever played.
Id prefer a System Shock 3 to multiplayer Bioshock
Multiplayer would be pretty awesome with the plasmids
what are you going to do? have big daddy death matches with customizable diving suits? it's just as stupid as trying to put multiplayer in resident evil.
Could do something like the Nazi Zombie MP in COD5. That seems to work well.
can't wait for 2. I ain't sure how the MP will work out though.
bioshock multiplayer would be sick
it's not taking any dev time away from the main dev team though, the mp is being done by another team.
if it's done well, then it could be a pretty fun addition. i don't expect it to keep me interested for all that long, but anything that adds more fun and playability to a game should be welcomed imo
that would be interesting. could have different modes for something like that too (one where you're a human like the dude from bioshock 1 and are fighting big daddies, and one where you're a big daddy and fighting all the other baddies)
no no, that title is reserved for gta 4
this may be ridiculous reasoning, but i base my game buying on whether or not it has online multiplayer. i think that's the best way for a game to have replay value. granted, i haven't bought many games, and before 360, the only game system i was really into was n64, so i'm kind of a noob.
HOWEVER, that's the reason i didn't buy bioshock in the first place, though i've heard great things. ...maybe i'll just do it.
