Kind of did a double take and then was like , na, why would he be in a total hockey (he was working for the blues at the time) then he started talking in French.. was like wtf best goalie of all time just chilling in a hockey store and no one is saying shit to him. I just said hi, to him he said hello back. The guy comes back with his skates and said it will be about 30min before we can sharpen them, he replied "I have a guy who can do it, no big deal" that made me chuckle, he smile said bye.

I lived in Las Vegas until I was 25 and worked for Mordecai @ The Jewelers for like 10 months in college. I sold Chuck Norris the most ostentatious ring I have ever seen. Mike Tyson was a frequent customer during that time. Suzanne Somers and Dolly Parton both came in. I've long since lost the pictures.

Met Arnold Schwarzenneger and Maria Shriver at my high school homecoming dinner at Caesar's Palace. They comped our entire table's meal.

I can't believe I forgot about WRC drivers either. Because of my ex who was an editor with Motor Trend & European Car, we did dinner with the Mini WRC team at a restaurant in Olbia during Rallye de Sardegna 2011. Met Sebastian Loeb, Peter Solberg, and Dani Sordo who was driving for Mini. I still haven't met Tanner Faust. Would (possibly?) leave my husband for him.

Frank Zombo and some other Packers players - They flew out to my ship mid-deployment for a meet and greet right after they won the superbowl. Got to put his ring on. They flew out there on an Osprey and were scared for their lives

Eric Dane and Bridget Regan - They were filming an episode of The Last Ship on my destroyer, I was standing security watch right behind the director's chair. He was cool and humble, she seemed aloof and annoyed at everything. The film crew and extras were stressing me out because they kept walking around with prop weapons and just pointing them wherever.

I played a bunch of pickup ice hockey games with Eric Melvin, the guitarist from NoFX

I met Miles Teller while they were filming the new Top Gun through a friend of mine who'd been friends with him since before he started acting. He's a megalomaniac and a prick. They're no longer friends because he wasn't allowed to bring his girlfriend to Miles's wedding at the last minute after they had already booked the trip to Hawaii.

Ron Hextall (Goalie for the Flyers in the 80s/90s) - played hockey with his kids when we were younger. John LeClair's kids too.

Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary Flames) - his dad owned the hockey rink I grew up playing in and was my coach for a few years.

I met Shawn Michaels at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that). Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a bit. "I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?" Then out of nowhere Shawn Michaels shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.” And I (being a big HBK fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.” Shawn was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Shawn Michaels and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents.

My fiance played Nick Jonas' wife in a live theatrical taping of Jersey Boys that will be released in theaters soon. We hung out a bunch of times during filming and he hit us up one night when he was in NYC and hung out again. Cool dude, super generous and very soft spoken.

Most of it centers around our home bar that was called the loon. Uptown Dallas. Had been there for like 70 years. real small dive bar. could maybe hold 100 people or less. The property owners of the land it was on eventually sold it out from under them (and everyone else) to build a CVS (right across from a walgreens)... RIP.

So when we started going here I was a more than decent pool player. My GF at the time was one of the best players I'd ever seen. We go in a few times and eventually keep running into this old dude who looks like paul newman. Named Doc. Always wearing black slacks and a coat, turtleneck. He's an OG and he is ALWAYS hitting on all the SMU whores while he beats all their SMU boyfriends in pool for money. He starts to pull the same shit on my gf but she's more interested in pool and he ends up realizing she's as good at pool as he is and we all just become friends.

he starts telling us this story how he's friends with britney spears, Paul Newman, used to be private security for owen and luke wilson when they were kids, their parents had him take them on fucking safaris and we're just like... okay whatever... dude's good at pool and he's old so we will just let him tell his stories and have a good time shooting and teaming up to take other people's money.

so one day we roll in and as usual we see doc playing around with some smu kid hustling him out of $50 or whatever. we walk back and wait to put quarters down and he grabs us and is like hey i wanted you to meet my friend. known him since he was a kid, points us over to a this table and there's a scraggly white guy with curly white hair poking out from under a baseball cap and i'm like "hey, nick, nice to meet you man, doc says yall go way back?" "nice to meet you too man, i'm owen"

it's owen fucking wilson. completely normal dude. we hang out for few hours, shoot some pool, every once in awhile i ask him if doc's stories are true and he basically says yeah, it's all true.

mark cuban was also buddies with the owner of this bar, he would come in from time to time and i'd see him and just say hey. nice guy.

then after the mavs won the championship one of our buddies at the bar called us and said hey get down here... just come asap or you will regret it for the rest of your lives. so we get down there and there's a "bar closed for private party" sign on the door, we get let in and hang out for about an hour and then cubes and the entire team walks in with the larry obrien. cubes passes it off to us and we proceed to shut the fucking bar down with basically the mavs team and their friends and like 30 regulars.

we all got to hold the trophy. it was great.

I went to Jamaica for a gig with this guy, who is awesome
He was very scared of the way our driver drove around the island at 100 mph
We went to the scariest strip club on earth together with some R&B group whose name escapes me

I had this guy's home phone number when I was 14 and used to call him often to talk about rare Misfits pressings and Shogun warrior toys
I later shared a stage with him, opening up for his post Misfits band, Samhain

This guy was a regular at parties I DJ'd in the 90s and he once came to a private Stussy event in Miami on my guest list and I got mad props

I met her at Burning Man via mutual friends while tripping on shrooms and MDMA and she told me she liked my gold metallic lamé shorts and I resisted the urge to confess my love to her in front of my then GF now wife

This guy is an old friend we DJ'd a lot together back in the day. Very stand up guy. His family had a dope ass townhouse on Rutherford pl in Manhattan where we would hang out and trade DJ promos some time

Thru Mark I got to DJ with Q-Tip a few times. Very nice guy who I idolize tho a bit moody

I knew all of these guys and every other rapper on earth via being a DJ and working at a big studio in NYC in the 90s
Puff Daddy comes off as a complete dimwits in person and I frankly don't quite understand how he's made it so far
ODB was a maniac and always on angel dust and more than once the staff locked themselves in an office to stear clear of one of his episodes
Busta is an awesome guy in every way
Guru was a sloppy drunk who often picked fights at events I was DJing and got thrown out more than once
KRS was an awesome guy and for a short time I was loosely a satellite member of the BDP Posse by association with his brother ICU and bunch of club kids and Rastas and weed heads that all hung around downtown NY in those days. I bartended his birthday party and he gave me a BDP hat which I still have

Very cool guy. Women would go fucking apeshit over him every time he stepped into a bar or club
He once got an Eek-A-Mouse show shut down because he was fucking a random girl in a fire exit hallway and tripped the alarm
FDNY guys opened the door and caught him in the act. The girl was totally naked and he was fully clothed
