Italy's Conte looks for outside backing after Renzi quits government

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte resisted calls to resign on Thursday after a junior coalition party pulled out of his government, stripping him of a parliamentary majority in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Italy's system is probably better explained by someone else, but without a coalition, a PM typically isn't gonna get much done because they don't have support. Think of it like a president losing support of a senate. Except our presidents don't resign when that happens. IDK , i'm getting sauced rn

Well there are 44 countries in the EU so at any given time some leaders are cycling out, some mired in controversy after the world suffered a controversial and difficult year.
