Heard it's the only foreign decoration you guys are allowed to wear.
edit: TurboManiacal will need to give us some IPB.
Is that the German Infantry Badge or something? If so, there are 7 people in my unit that wear it.
well you heard wrong, i wore the french fourragere for tradition, given to the 5th and 6th marine regiments in world war I, for slaying huns like you! j/k even though it's true...
They look like those cute little ropes they wear in the airforce.
i don't know what the other services have them for. i was in 1/6 so we wore it. but the army has all kinds of shit on thier service uniforms, to make it shiny and look pretty.
Yeah, the airforce uses them with their junior troops going through the pipeline, to denote leadership positions. It's a joke. whoever kisses ass the most gets them, instead of using a chain of command. so you would have an E1/E2 in charge E3/E4's. Army/airforce get medals/ribbons for shit we just do in the Corps. I think both services get a ribbon for graduating basic. I've heard army gets a badge for throwing a grenade, and other gay shit like that. If the Marine Corps did the same thing, everyone would be walking around stacked like a fucking General/Sgt Major.
One of my best friends was with 3/5 so he wore the fourragere as well.
I had the opportunity when I was at a joint force base to earn the badge. Being the only Marine on the entire base, I couldn't find anyway that knew if Marines could wear it or not, nor had i ever seen a Marine wear it...so I didnt even bother wasting my time.
Question is, can Marines where this award?
i have like 5, becasue it just had puppies
Do you have a citation/award certificate? Check with your S-1 section and submit copies of your award.
Can wear this one too
You can wear the German Jump wings too
(Kinda looks like the Chrysler Symbol)
I got mine in Berlin, 1990
