I thought the ref was going to let Forrest die before he pulled Rashad off.
Fucking faggotry. I've heard it all now. If there was one less punch that was allowed, 90% of every forum post would be about "early stoppage, he's tough and he's the champ - let him go!"..
When you're the champ and they are calling the fight against you, its always a late stoppage. Always.
Forrest was tapping on the ground for like 5 seconds before the ref stopped it. Theres gotta be a gif somewhere.
Both fights were stopped properly. Nog was dropped 3 times prior to that. Rashad was throwing punches from inside the guard.
People are biased based on who they wanted to win. If their guy loses, it was stopped early. If their guy wins, it was a good stoppage.
Thats what I'm saying.
They let Nog take half the punishment.
As a fighter I expect and trust the ref to stop the fight before I get pounded on like that.
I can't find a .gif either.
I wanted Rashad to win
He was dropped 3 times previously. Rashad was throwing punches in the guard.
Apples to oranges.
That's like comparing the Nog stoppage to the Kongo stoppage.
Only bad stoppage was the Kongo one. It sounded like meat getting tenderized.
There was no tappage....and what you saw wasnt 5 seconds before the ref stopepd it... Watch it from the proper angles and youll see him being jarred and his arms moving..not tapping. Why the fuck do people make shit like this up? lol. The fight was fairly stopped.
couldnt agree more.
I can't stand Rashad, and I really wanted Forrest to win, but thought the stop was good.
The only problem with it is that the wrong guy was on the ground getting pounded.
you mean this one where he clearly taps 5 times?
Or the post fight interview where Forrest said he did not in fact tap, he had not idea what was going on and if it looked like he tapped, it was because he was getting rolled.
I don't see any clear taps.
I heard his post fight interview. He may have said he didn't tap, but he also said he didn't remember anything after he got taken down. I say he tapped. Looks clear to me that he did.
People do all kinds of things when they get rocked and are not aware of it. Not saying Forrest is lying, I just don't think he was aware that he did.
You watch the whole thing, I can't see how you can't see it?
The ref didn't know that at the time. Ref should have seen it as tapping.
That was an arm flailing as he was getting pounded. He didn't tap.
Maybe I'm just seeing things looks like a clear up and down tapping motion to me.
It looks like that because he was rolled on his side and the ground was there. It looks to me like he was blindly trying to get his arm up to block the hits and failing miserably.
if those were taps they were looser than his guard.
I think UFC stoppages or U.S. stoppages in general dont favor nog alot most of his fights he would take damage far greater then they would allow in the US
