Just finished up a 40 day work gig in the dump called Yuma, AZ (where half the license plates are from Canada) and just got sent to San Diego for a 3 week stint and my first time here. Damn this area is gorgeous! People are nice, it's clean, today is 75 and sunny, I've only seen a handful of homeless, everyone is outside exercising it seems (at least in Encinitas).

After my last 3 work trips to San Fran I have no desire to go back, just not my type of place. Did this Mtn hike outside Chula Vista today and took in this amazing scenery.

I expected more EVs, but have never seen so many Tesla model Y's in one place. Went downtown and paid $8 for a fricking pour over 12oz coffee, but whatever.

Go downtown though and you’ll find the entire area has been taken over by homeless. Looks like LA skid row. It’s a massive problem.
The only downtown I did was by the navy ship museum and little Italy, but didn't see many. At least it didn't appear nearly as bad as San Fran...

I love SD. Last time I went all the homeless were by the train station but that was 2020 right before Covid. Go to laguna beach. They manage to keep the homeless out of there mostly lol.

We’re is SF, girlfriend’s brother is in San Diego. I can completely understand what you’re saying. SD is awesome and the people are genuinely nice there. Totally different vibe from SF.

Too bad they’re likely going to run out of water in the not too distant future.

They started to clear out the homeless by Petco Park to get ready for opening day
