So I'm fixing my friends laptop for free. Here's the story... Her backlight would only turn on in certain positions. So I took off the LCD Bezel and jiggled the wire aroudn. Fixed it. I thought, "that was too easy." Kept prying around a bit. The LCD screw hinges made contact wiht the inverter. The laptop turned off and wouldnt turn back on. I think I shorted out the battery cuz it works on AC power. 1) Should I put the battery back in and see if it'll charge? 2) Even though I made it clear that I wasn't very experienced and there was the possibility that I'd break it more, I should probably just buy her a new battery off of ebay right? 3) It's working fine on AC power so I didn't fuck up anything else that might become apparent later right?
