Customer wanted a shark "on steroids" graphic for the sides of his 25' boat. Since were I work has no concept of design time I was under an unreasonable deadline for the the customer had "envisioned". So in about an hour I had a few sketches done up and he chose a rough style of what is below. They then tell me I have an hour to finalize it so it can be run by the end of the day. Wow, a whole hour to finalize the sketch, vectorize and color? Luckily he never got back to us that day so I had a window to take it home and detail it off the clock. Normally I pass it off as their fucking loss for not giving me time, but I liked where it was going and felt I could use it in my portfolio once the boat was lettered. So here's what they would've gotten: And here's w/an extra couple hours put into it: If I'm around when the boat gets brought in for lettering I'll try to snap a picture of the finished job. Should look sharp tho.
