Took these last week. Just got some new wheels for it, so I thought I'd share.
Paint is next... Can't decide on a color just yet...
And fuck i love Datsun 1600's, very very nice car
1600 = 510 ?
I was > < thiiiis close to getting one a few weeks ago off of ebay, but dialup owned my winning bid. No rust, standard transmission, engine not working, sedan. Went for less than five hundred dollars. I almost cried.
Dimes rawk. My buddy has two of them, a wagon and a coupe, both have had their firewalls hacked out and rewelded, and have L28 engines in them (that's right, the engines from the 280Z). With the L28's those two dimes love to own people on the streets LOL.
FYI, it's a Sedan not a Coupe.
Only 12 known Coupes in the US and IIRC none have been bastardized with inline 6 engines.
Notice the JDM-only Coupe has a different roofline:

omg man that thing is so beautiful.... would you mind giving us a mod list?
That is one awesome car. I wanted one of those really bad. Maybe some day I will find one. Either that or an old Z.
sweet, i picked up a '70 coupe for $400 about 6mo ago
Nice, I've wanted one for a long time.
Cleanest I've seen, very nice.
I just met a guy the other night w/ a 510 w/ a L28 (280Z's 2.8 liter motor!!!) that was turbo'd running 18 psi on the streets.............and I've never met a guy w/ a beast like that before!!!
Nice car man!
great lookin datsun!
don't like the wheels though
Still got a looong way to go, but...
'98 Maxima power leather seats (front and rear)
New carpet and sound deadening
Kenwood CD player
Alpine 5.25" fronts, 6.5" rears
Kicker 8" subs and Kenwood 400W amp
All speakers are completely hidden from view
Under the hood:
Weber 32/36 carb with K&N filter
4-2-1 header with 2.25" exhaust
'80 200SX electronic distributor
Vintage Air AC system, Sanden 508 compressor
Stock engine is a 1.6L, but I'm building a 2.0L for it right now
280ZX struts, rotors, and calipers up front
200SX springs in front with KYB struts
Stock rear springs with KYB shocks
16x7 Velox VX8-R wheels, Yokohama Parade Spec 2 tires, 205/45-16
Soon to come is a rear disc conversion, maybe coil-overs up front, definitely some Cusco camber plates
Oustide? Stock. And that's how it will stay.
What's not to like?
Size? Color? Spoke design?
