anyone have that link off hand? Trying to find the legality of open carrying if I go hiking
def not on opencarry.org
It was a pretty odd URL and had a break down of all carrying related laws
maps aren't really helping me with this one
Edit: Can't find specifics on state forests/parks, and I know I saw a tidbit about them somewhere's. Also couldn't find that info in the AG's opinion on OC.
That's what I'm thinking of doing. Probably wouldn't even technically CC (in my backpack isn't that useful or make it that deadly, but I guess that means it is still on me as a 'person'), and I'm pretty sure where I'm looking to hike, I'll be the only one out on the trail, which is why I want to have my firearm with me to ward off any crazies, and use it as a means of signaling help should something happen
thanks! I had a suspicion state parks were off limits and this pretty much confirms it. thanks guys
I thought there was a new Federal law that was just passed that stated State and Federal parks were now exclusively allowed?
It went into effect on the 9th of Jan. this year. I know this is for all Federal parks, I am unsure about states. The Brady campaign sued the Federal Gov. for this btw
