get a feisol cm 1471. its a beast, its carbon fiber and it solid. I use it with my 400 with ease.
I thought that would be like a 250 monopod, but its not that badly priced. I'll look into it. I wanted something cheap around $50ish that would handle 40d+grip + 70-200
the twist locks on the feisol are kind of annoying
wtf do you need a monopod for with a 70-200
i have scrawny arms
are you a woman
if so, where's the self portrait
really i prefer them actually, less likely to get snagged then teh buckle type of my bogen one.
gitzo has twist locks
im not. Its just for low lit places to help stabilize the camera
They are fine once you figure out how to expand/contract the tripod/monopod properly. Work "top down" to expand and "bottom up" to contract.
yeah, but it's pretty annoying when you need to quickly adjust the height of the monopod w/o looking w/a 400/500/600 on it...
levers are much quicker
i dunno ive never had a problem
shooting at a race track?
what do you need a monopod for
the manfrotto I had was great. Was a good monopod, and had self-standing legs that could be folded and stored inside that were pretty damn handy.
