Is this true???
It's not due to the SpecOps community not recruiting minorities. They recruit anyone that can meet the qualifications. In my opinion the "minorities" of America do not have the mindset for SpecOps. The majority of them do not see the military as a honorable profession, and do not see the use in striving to reach the pinnacle of the military as a career. And in order to succeed in SpecOps you have to want to be the best. Furthermore the majority of "minorities" I have worked with came into the military as a way out of the life they felt they were trapped in. Be in poverty, lack of education, gangs, or just wanted to escape their surroundings. The military to them is a temporary stop towards their forward progression in life. With that said the majority are not willing to accept the necessary sacrifices to make it into a SpecOps unit, and continue to stay in a SpecOps unit.
White America also has a romantic view of what it means to be in the military; especially a SpecOps Commando.
Army Special Forces is desperately trying to get black people to join, they need them because for example in Africa they would blend in a lot better then a white guy. but most black people don't want to go spec ops, let alone plain infantry. look at the Ranger School Class photos. maybe 1 black guy if any in each class. thats just how life is.
black ppl dont swim
every time swim qual comes around theres always a few certian ppl that have to go on "ops"
