Here's an artist's concept sketch:
Not a euro.
Sure it is. I'm sure it'll be released in Europe before it's released in America. Besides...see the plates?
Volvo + Focus = Volcus or Focvo (it is a good bit Volvo you know)
Hay stick something better than 170hp in and give it allwheel drive and it will be a damn good car.
Escort Cosworth > Focus RS
Yeah if you like living with a hyperactive Quaife LSD that makes the car borderline undriveable on crap UK roads.
I'll admit that the Focus RS does have a seriously cool looking exterior.
But I got fed up of hearing so much hype about the RS, only then to hear of it being delayed more times than the Bugatti Veyron.
Nicely styled, Ford can't get it here fast enough.
No idea, it's not like the Contour (aka Mondeo) was a major bust. Just another to add to a list of cars they should sell here.
THrow in the ford falcon from australia. That would be a sweet car to have.
why the fuck is this car in the euro forum. regardless of where it comes out first from its fucking FORD its an american company
It's being designed, tested, and built here...
Still a fooking FORD!!! Translation: NOT a euro car company! Some BMW are built here and the majority of those models are sold here, does that make them an american car?
Jesus, someone piss in your cornflakes this morning?
Ehh..didn't mean to come off so harshly. My apologies.
S'ok...I'd never seen you blow up like that.
Redline.. ever driven a Focus RS?
Mmm, the Clarkson bandwagon again...!
The red focus up there is the ST version.
I'd prefer that bandwagon than the Autocar "it wears a blue-oval therefore it must be gods gift to drivers" bandwagon.
I take that as a "No, I've never driven a Focus RS, or been in one, so I'll slate it because Clarkson says so" ??
No, unfortunately I just couldn't bring myself to sit inside such a hideous interior. So instead my opinions are based on my father's observations of driving one last year.
He disliked it, and as someone who has done a lot of Auto-Testing, including competing against Russ Swift many years ago I respect his views.
This begs the question what is a Euro car. The Ford Focus is based on a Volvo platform. Ford owns Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover and Aston Martin. Are these not European cars? Mazda also has the same Volvo platform and has been praised for it's handling yet lacking in power. That will unfortunately likely be the case for the Focus.
So you're a little lamb that follows other sheep around yes?
hopefully they wont make it weigh as much as the V50 (wagon version of the S40)... those things need a diet
If you want to describe taking reference of other peoples judgment to make a decision not to do something, then obviously I'm a sheep.
However on something as trivial as whether a car is a pig to drive on normal roads I'm quite happy using the opinions of others who I respect as a reason not to waste my time driving one.
You can make this run and run if you want, but frankly I dislike the Focus RS and I've no intention of driving or buying one.
