have a nice cut of steak with no grill to cook it on
what should i do to cook it?
send it to me. ill cook it....then eat it
Pour hot sauce over it.
Cut into thin slices. Voila.... beef sashimi.
pour extra virgin olive oil
let oil warm
insert steak (season with lawry's & sauced with worcestershire)
cook to desired done-ness
one of my favorite sides is:
roasted cheese potatoes
3 or 4 red potatoes
cut into small chunks
put into baking pan that is greased with a non-stick agent
add a tablespoon or two of extra virgin olive oil & a few sprinkles of italian seasoning (mix with hands so that all potatoes have some seasoning & oil on them)
bake in oven for ~35mins @ ~425 degrees
remove from oven & mix in 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese
and find yourself some Bush Barbecue Baked Beans
i have a 1.3 lb slab of steak in the oven right now. marinated it in beer for 2 hours, now i'm cooking it in extra virgin olive oil
put it in a pan and squeeze lemons all over it and put chile and peppercorn
go to the store and buy at 13 dollar grill and some charcoal
I dunno how safe that is.
Beef has to be pretty high quality for you to eat it sashimi.
edit: Kobe beef!
that looks fucking GOOD!
eat it raw caveman style.
pan sear it, add some cock sauce, thin sliced jalapeno, and you have beef tataki.
why are you cooking with extra virgin olive oil? Its a waste of cash once you get the pan hot enough to flash the oil.
i'd just heat a pan and sear each side for 30 sec or so
the only area that could be contaminated could be a side that touched the open air... searing the sides would fix that. You only have to cook ground beef (hamburgers and such) through because they've been mashed all around and the whole thing could be contaminated.
go to williams sonoma and buy a "grille pan", it is a cooking pan that has the grille groves on it.
i cook everything on mine, does an awesome job
Safe? Tapeworms are your friend.
my new apt. complex doesn't allow charcoal grills... only propane
i got a new set of pots and pans last night, and as a part of the "triple bonus", i got a 9.5" grille pan
it's heavy as fuck!
fyi, the other 2 parts of my bonus were a 6 piece nylon utensil set and lasagna dish with lid
bed bath and beyond ftw!
george foreman grill FTW
Go to a sporting goods store that sells camping gear and buy a small propane grill.
how do you think timber got so goddamn lean?
i bought the nice all-clad one for my g/f, she cooks everything on it.
i prefer it ot a regular grille
Going to Ruth's Chris Friday for a $50 filet.
