So my stepdad went to Iraq when the war first started... he's prior service and is only there working for Halliburton. He loves it over there and says the United States is too boring for him now. At first when he went he was with Marines and apparently he didn't have nearly as many attacks on him. He was at Al Asad and Im not sure if he still is or not. Now I believe he is with the Army and last February he started having more attacks with one that caused him to be in the hospital for a few weeks. Anyways. My point of posting this thread is to get an opinion from people in the military that really know what's going on over there. I just wonder if the war is just getting worse or if it's the possibility that the Army isn't as good in the convoys. I dont like to read the newspaper or watch the news anymore based on the fact that I don't want to see or read about something awful happening to him. It really scares me Anyways. Any insight is appreciated and yes this is a serious thread.
