its supposed to keep the trigger and hammer pins from rotating and/or walking and wearing out.

but for the timney drop in SA trigger,it`s a good idea to have a set of these pins.but thats about it for semi
It sort of looks like a nice guide for your finger to the mag release too.
its for people who are scared their pins will walk out.
Or egging out, which does happen. It's just cheap insurance so you wont have to replace your lower receiver.
It's only effective insurance on full-auto lowers, which you can't replace. Ovulation takes tens of thousands of rounds. The average shooter doesn't put that round count through a MULTIPLE rifles, much less a single lower. For heavy duty shooters, shooters in ban states, and owners of registered lowers, this makes plenty of sense. They're 1/3 the cost of a new lower for everyone else, and it's unlikely that you'll ever need them, especially with current ammo prices.
