First time ever being published in a magazine and I get a 2 page spread. Pretty stoked about it.
Can we see the original?
ask and you shall receive.
sweeeet, what mag?
thats so badass! Congrats man!
damn bro, what were you shooting with?
And any compensation for it?
dam some sports photogs wait their whole lives for a double truck. awesome shot bro. Congrats!
nice one!!! for the 2nd time what mag?!?
Wow. Good work!
I'm guessing 40D 1/640 3200 ISO f/2.8 Av 140mm +0.3
Inside Wisconsin Sports.
No comp which I'm pissed about, but it was a NCAA championship event and we had to sign a contract beforehand. I shot the game for the school, so the school owns the shots, the AD loved the shot and passed it on to the magazine to get printed. I got credit but no money.
yep, Canon 40D w/ 70-200 f/2.8
you're so money, you dont even know it
Congrats dude! I remember (and loved) that shot when you posted it here
Buy a few copies of the mag for your portfolio. Then talk with the PR people to insist they get you in on other events in the future. This is your foot in the door to the big leagues. If they're not paying you, then insist on getting more work through them.
Again, congrats for the spread!
Well done, the shot is awesome!
Not to complain or anything, I'm just curious; how come it isn't that sharp? Is it because you shot at 2.8 or is the shutterspeed a tad to slow?
Done and done, editor e-mailed me this morning and said that he'll need me in mid-feb.
