can anyone recomend and good tactical shotguns for under $500
why dont you tell us what a "tactical" shotgun is
dude, it's a shotgun. and it's tactical. come on.
Remington 800 has a police model, or defense model, cant remember what they're calling it. Has a 20 or 18" barrel with a full length magazine tube, parkerized finish. Should be around 300-400.
Or if you're on a budget but want something just as good, get a Mossberg 500 Defense, same deal as above, but on a 500 platform. I have both, most of the times I prefer the M500.
I'd say a "tactical shotgun" could be described as a short barrel shotgun with a long magazine tube. Or something along those lines.
i would like an 870 with a pistol grilp stock and a white light on the end... blind home intruders and then hit them with 00 buck
I just got a mossy 500 and am starting to put some accessarys on it. ill post pix when its finished in a week or 2
I am a pump fan and prefer the Mossbergs. (590) although the 870 is just as good a gun.
I prefer pumps in that they will shoot the LTL loads as well as quicker dealing with FTF and FTEs.
(LTL=less than lethal, FTF=fail to fire, FTE, fail to extract/fail to eject)
Here is mines
I forgot that I even owned a shotgun. I only ever use my pistols
Good thing I never spent too much money to upgrade my 870, since I never use it.
FN Tactical Police Shotgun...available to civilians and is a great shooter.
Here ya go, but you'll have to double your allowance...
What kind of sling is that
GG&G I think.
Not sure what you are referring to --
Are you talking about the single point sling attachment at the rear between the stock and the receiver? If so, it is GG&G. There is also a GG&G side sling attachment up front in case I want to use a different sling method...
Now, if you are referring to the shell holder on the rear, well, that can be utilized to accomodate a sling, as well. That is a Spector Gear (or whatever was formally CQB Solutions). It accomodates 6 shells on the other side. The thing is far superior to those elastic POS shell bands!
I love that forend with the light on it. Saw one on ebay that was like $300, I want it really bad.
Its a gun used to blow down doors and scare the shit out of the neighbors...
For civilians, there is no such thing as Less Than Lethal. You can shoot a beanbag but it will be considered lethal force by a court, same with shooting someone in the leg to incapacitate them. The only time you should be shooting is when killing the perp is the only way out.
My home defense gun is a Mossberg 500 20" with 7 shot tube, came with just a pistol grip. Paid about $175 in like new condition. Spent another $50 on a folding stock and another $25 or so for the side saddle rig. I had a cheapo flashlight on it but it literally fell apart when I was shooting at the range. I keep it loaded with #1 buck.
Benelli Nova in Camo....poor thing doubles as my duck, goose, dove, & quail gun
Not a civilian The beanbag and rubber rounds are nice when trying to get their attention and graphite rounds do wonders taking door hinges out.
Oh, well in that case, NO FAIR! lol
got myself a 870 18.5" synthetic w/ butler creek folding stock. took it out to the range for the first time today, had a blast. It's a good gun, but for some reason i dont LOVE it. Great gun for the money though, only spent $230 for it brand new + $25 rebate brings it down to $205. Folding stock $65.
If it comes out the end of a gun it is not LESS THAN LETHAL. It is less lethal.
