I probably haven't taken a week off in 3 months or so. will it help or hurt?? I feel horrible.
In my experience, it'll help.
You have to listen to your body.
let me add that I feel horrible because i haven't been able to get to the gym. This is kind of like a forced week off.
Well, nonetheless, I've found that the occasional rest week helps.
if you are feeling run down, I think a week off helps
Usually I'll take a week off every couple of months. Helps both physically and mentally.
taking a week off every 8 weeks is a great thing, as mentioned above, it resets your body and mind. most people will come back stronger and have more focus. Don't drink yourself into oblivion or eat your way out of a house of pizza - get a lot of rest and take your mind off training. You'll be happy you did.
Make sure you eat just as much as you were before... you don't want to lose all the mass you've just put on.
You won't lose all of your mass in one week as long as you're eating maintenance.
did you really just say that?!?!?1
hey I can give good advice, whether I follow it or not is a different story
sounds liek Robert and his squat suit!
"do as I say, not as I do"
"shut the fuck up, fagmo"
"me love you long time"
it was nice when Kotu didnt post in here for awhile....
when i went on vacation, i was on vacation, eating whatever i wanted (within reason) and drank every other night. i was HURTIN when i got back in the gym. numbers went down, lost about 2 weeks progress.
when ive been training hard for 6+weeks, a few days or a week off help alot, but I was pretty bad about going leading up to spring break, and a week off eating and drinking a ton left me in awful condition when i got back in the gym.
Taking a few days (maybe up to a week) seems to help me if I have been going steady for a long time. I consider it a healing cycle.
Taking a week off from lifting is like taking a week off from breathing, at least for me.
and thats why you have a sub500 pull
