Was diagnosed with kennel cough over a year ago. Assume got it from doggy camp. Symptoms started like 3 days afterwards .

Was at doggy camp over a week ago past Sunday. I assume it came from there even though it's been like 10 days.

This time puppers is doing much better and not coughing as bad as before. She's taking it easy. Weird though cuz went for a 15 min walk and puppers didn't cough once.

Was coughing almost every few mins from 4am-11am. Now puppers is resting .

so the early diagnosis is addisons disease, found some crystals in her kidneys

adrenal insufficiency, makes not enough hormones

jfk had it

Close to 80 percent of dogs that are found to have this disease are said to be females and are about four years old on average.

she's 4.5yrs old lol

theyre keeping her for 2 days, shes lost 6# since she was weighed ~40 days ago, she was on a diet for the last yr, her weight got too high so shes due for some weight loss....some steroids should bring her appetite back and the meds will level her off, and the bloodwork will be back by then

~$250/mth in oral meds will make her a normal dog and she'll be none the worse for wear

wait and see if the bloodwork confirms this

not what i wanted to hear, but i can live with it
250 a month for the rest of her life? Oof.

thats for the daily oral meds

depending on her prescription, could be able to get it via a monthly shot done at home, which are typically 40-50% cheaper

also the prices are vet prices, theres online options that are cheaper

vet figures her current testing/diagnosis/2 day stay etc.... will be ~$1000

the good news is $1000 on the astros -1.5 today pays $1900

vet called,

shes not happy with how lethargic she is, i splained to her that shes a slug, and usually has the eeyore face goin, and not used to being in a crate at a vet, so judge accordingly, but her sodium level is too high, so some meds given for that

waiting for tests to come back tmmw or monday, cuz the tests from yesterday were done past the courier pick up time, part of living remote

sigh.
