Is it deemed normal to strike up a conversation in a public toilet with another man? I bloody hate it and yet some people feel the need to talk to strangers during urination. I truly hate being stood in a public toilet on my own only to be joined by one individual who tries to make small talk while I pee. I've gone in there for a slash not a social gathering. I then get paranoid that my urination time is either too short, or too long and he'll notice this and think me strange! Also do I look at his face when I'm forced to reply, or am I supposed to concentrate on what I'm doing and reply without looking . I then get in a panic and finish too early meaning ten minutes later I'll need to pee again! Slightly different, but on the same subject. Today at work I went for a wee and noticed one of the cubicles locked. As I stood over the urinal I sneezed and was then shocked to hear one of my colleagues start talking to me from the stall. To make matters worse, as I washed my hands he did his business rather loudly and then continued to talk to me As far as I'm concerned the toilet should be a place of silence, especially with strangers. Am I right or am I just an anti social bastard?
