Wife and I bought a couple Calphalon Elite pots from William Sonoma a few years back and they’ve been the tits.

We need new pans (12”, 4-6 qt) and was headed back to buy matching pans, but I wanted to be enlightened by OT kitchen elitists about why these are shitty pans.

We want very good non stick pans because we rarely use oil In any cooking.

Nonstick plans get replaced often enough that mid range is fine. Enameled cast iron is my favorite long term nonstick tho

I have no idea what I’m talking about, but they have a lifetime warranty. Would t this mean they would be replaced if the non stick surface deteriorated?

Could be warranty against defect rather than wear and tear.

I don’t expect a lifetime of perfect non stick pans, but if I’m dropping a few hundred on them, I’d like to get 3-5 years.

I typically try to buy quality so I’m not being wasteful.

I spent like $200 on cast iron 6 months ago but even though it's only a tiny bit more work to clean up I have been using the nonstick/stainless mostly

If you're going that route for waste then cast iron is really the way to go. Will last forever.

Educate me on this. If I crack a few eggs on an enamel pan without oil, will it stick?
