Hey Im cleaning up some space on my dads computer, its a small hd (6 gigs) , and hes got only 1 gig left so I was searching cleaning up old stuff he didnt need when I came allong to the C:\windows\temp internet files

It shows 849 megs with 54,000 files in 9 sub directorys. The funny thing is I cant see anything in the directory (I deleted like 10 megs) , I have in options SHOW all files, and I went to detailed mode. Nothing, Any Ideas?

In Innternet Explorer, go to Tools, then Options, and the screen it comes up to, click the 'Delete Files' or 'Delete Temp Internet Files' or something along the lines of that.

Ditto... Clear the temp files from IE.

And FYI, if you have a lot of stuff in there, it will take a few minutes to complete, so let it go until the hour-glass goes away. Clicking around thinking it will go faster will lockup IE.

Just let it run...walk away or you will be tempted to fuck around with it.
