The 300C was road tested in the May Car and Driver :eek3: **NOW WITH DRIFT VID**

And with numbers like this, the srt-4 is no longer the second fastest Chrysler vehicle... :eek3:

    [
    0 - 60mph: 5.3 seconds
    1/4 mile: 13.9 seconds @ 102mph
    top speed: 130mph (governor limited)
    70 - 0mph: 184ft
    roadholding: .77g
    C/D ovbeserved fuel economy: 17mpg ]

All i can say, is if a stock 5.7 300C is running like this, how amazing will the SRT-8 be? And the Dodge Charger (w/ 6.1 hemi??)

    Unbelievable

(reposted from the American Muscle Forum, to let the import boys read up)

It's as fast as the new GTO and probably faster than the next Mustang GT.

I wonder how fast the slightly heavier Magnum will be?

Too bad it's ugly as fuck...

I get to drive one next month. :wiggle: But they apparently won't let us drive an SRT-4

the rebirth of the golden era?

Hemi powered Charger pulls up to a GTO at a set of stoplights, sounds more like a wet dream then a reality :o

Two classic nameplates return to do battle in the 21st century.

I hope Dodge pulls off the Charger as good if not better than the other LX cars.

The more I look at the Magnum, the more I love it.

The GTO seems to be a stopgap solution to replacing the F body. They're only making them through 2006 or something aren't they?

I'm curious as to what they're going to replace it with.

No, the current model runs through 2006, an all new, redesigned GTO debuts in 2008 on GM's (Australian engineered) Zeta RWD platform.

I just hope they don't go for the retro theme on the redesign. I haven't seen anything where they've actually made it look good. Leave the classic design on the classics.

The T-bird, PT Cruiser, SSR, even the new Mustang are all kinda :ugh: in my books...

    I fully agree.

The next generation Monaro/GTO (will still be the same car) are already being shown down under, and the people who've seen the sketches say it looks a little move evolved, more aggressive, but still very classy.

Good. I love classic cars, but it just not the same when manufacturers start cranking out tens of thousands of modern knockoffs.
