An excellent article here on what it took to get the 360 to play HD-DVD's with the new add-on....
ill buy one once HD-DVD is the clear winner
Drop $200 on the add-on and help to ensure HD-DVD wins
true. maybe i'll do it with PS3 profits
"oops, we should have included the damn thing in the first place"
what the fuck is the point of your post
ib overheating problems
no they shouldn't have you fuckin douchebag. it's not needed for anything scept HD-DVD movies
oops, maybe not everyone wants it
If it looks like HD-DVD is going to be the winner i'll gladly purchase a Xbox/HD-DVD combo package, as opposed to getting a 3rd party HD-DVD player. One because it'll let me play Halo and GTA, but also because I don't mind supporting Microsoft for pushing technology like this.
I'll just buy a PS3 too... the 360 looks just fine.
this is the one and only MS product i respect. apple fanboy but i really really hope that microsoft wins this battle and sony and blu-ray go the way of betamax
how much is a hd player? about $400? toshiba a1 or soemthing? How much for the regular xbox 360?
A1 for $385
How does the HD-DVD drive connect to the 360. USB? I wouldn;t think that USB could transfer the HD data.
curious about this myself. can't answer it though. the HDDVD drive is quite large though i know that
it was $600, I don't know how much it is currently
edit: the RCA HD-DVD player is like $375. I'm told that it's essentially the Toshiba w/a different logo.
So now it basically costs more than the PS3?
So the HD-DVD doesn't connect straight to the TV, just the xbox?
except you don't need it faggot
