My wife has been a wake window fiend for the last few months and as annoying as she’s been timing everything to the minute, it’s paid off. The kid slept through the night last night. In her crib, in her own room, at 5 months. 11hr 11min according to the owlet.

I really gotta hand it to my wife on this one, she is pretty much an infant sleep specialist at this point :o

I know right. There’s no way I could have kept it up like she did. I have no idea how I even keep myself alive from day to day since I’m legitimately an idiot and she takes care of this baby day in and day out.

Shits wild yall

I think a lot of it is how we were raised too. I was vigilant with nap schedule. Within 3 months we had an overnight sleeper in her crib due to necessity. You do what you have to and you love the fuck out of them while doing it. ❤️

We did a spa thing that my MiL got us for Christmas. Then had dinner at a James Beard semi-finalist place, then went to our favorite bars for drinks.

Slept all night without any kids waking us up or touching me

Lil guy will basically only sleep on people rn. Can't wait to get him into the snoo, think we need to get a bed routine down, and for him to be not one week old lmao

Wife and I had our first date night in 17 months on Friday. Restaurant week booked ended up cancelling our reso due to Covid. Went to a chain steakhouse which was still fine and had a nice night. Grandparents survived babysitting ours for the first time

We've been doing rotating naps in the night hours, so I'm getting two a night
We did that too. It felt grueling but I would give anything to go back to that time right now - just for a night or two. Someone told me that when I was in it and I thought they were insane. But fresh baby smell and the cuddle-to-sleep phase goes by so fast in the grand scheme of things.
