Omg that poor baby

All joking aside, glad everyone is healthy now, our guy is still 3oz away from birth weight, looking forward to him hitting it so we can let him sleep through the night. He's basically on a 3 hour feeding schedule, and we've been able to get him down on the Snoo from midnight to 9am with feedings in between so we're finally lifting out of the fog

Anyone have to deal with low neutrophils in their kids blood labs? My daughter had her 12 month blood work come back low and was referred to a blood specialist. The specialist seemed like it was nothing to worry about but that's easier said than done.

Can I just say: If you think that your kid might have ADHD or if they're having issues with focus or school or behavior, etc., please take them to a professional and have them evaluated if you're able. Both of our older kids are now on Strattera after being diagnosed with ADHD and it's only been positive.

Both kids have said that they can focus better. Our oldest daughter's grades improved.

Our son said that he feels like his brain works better. He doesn't hyper fixate or sensory seek anymore. They're just happier overall, too. Their teachers have commented on it.

There's no shame in it. I felt a weird sense of shame at first, idk why. But now I see how good it is for them.
I was tested by a psychiatrist for 3 days when I was 8 and diagnosed with ADHD. Without meds (concerta later on) I probably wouldn't have gotten into college

Checked on kiddo and he's a little too warm. Tomorrow will be day 3 of fever if this carries on. He felt much better this afternoon/evening and was back to being himself bringing me books to read and putting all the noisy toys in my face. I might give the doctor a taking to if I have to call about the fever tomorrow because the follow up is not within the time frame recommended by the er. The er didn't diagnose and if this continues he'll need a diagnosis to treat and bring the fever down. Friday is a shitty effort and they could have put us on the cancelation list. Arrgg

The fever was totally gone, but the kid was totally inconsolable for hours last night. I gave him Tylenol, my cousin brought over Motrin and neither had any effect. We brought him to the ER again. No ear or throat infection, no testicular torsion (lol). Took an x-ray and he was full of poop. They did a ultrasound to check for intussusception. Nope. His dehydration from fever and barfing just gave him a gnarly poop berg. Poor kid. That nasty fever really whammied him.

Oh, and day 2 after visiting the ER I started having headache and heavy post nasal drip. For a careful household that rarely gets sick we sure as are in the shit right now.
