a sick, disgusting, gore-fest with campy satirical moments that i enjoyed the hell out of.
I want to see this one, but i think i will have to see it soon, maybe a matinee next week.
Just got home from seeing it. 5 out of 5 stars from me
Absolute genious is all I have to say!
Just saw it this afternoon. Have to admit it was one of the most disturbing movies I have seen in along time. I loved every minute of it. It made you feel uneasy, like your watching something your not supposed to be seeing. Plus the family was just plain sick and deprived.
5 out of 5 stars from me also.
some dumbass parent was complaining after the movie that it was to violent for his 8 year old, which he had brought to see the movie. wtf was he thinking.
house of 1000 corpses was the must disgusting movie i have ever seen. it troubled me that there are people out there that are cabable of thinking this way. i walked out and told my girlfriend (who made me go see it) that if she wanted a ride home she better get up too.
You should see Last House on the Left with her.
Best. Date movie. Ever.
I was watching Ebert & Roepert (sp?) and was quite surprised to see that they both gave thumbs up. They did however mention several times to be prepared because it is quite disgusting, but still a good flick. After hearing all the horrible reviews of house of 1000 corpses I'd be weary of it.
Did she stay? She must of realized how much of a man you really were today...
How was the storyline? Good?
I heard it has the funniest fucking Freebird joke in it
did you leave your balls in the car or something? jeezus.
anyway, saw this movie tonight, was pretty solid.
The part with spaulding smoking weed & the last scene were classic! 5 out of 5. I went & bought the soundtrack right after watching the movie. Best horror movie I have seen since Blair witch or Session 9.
well, the movie ended perfectly on the entire track of Freebird...fucking genius! the only other song that has been played to death as much is Stairway to Heaven.
I thought it was maybe 1/50th as disgusting as house of 1000s corpses...after house, I was like "ughhhhhhhhhhhh" for a few days; freaked out. This was just like a normal movie. Kind of disappointing
Best horror movie I've seen in quite a while. I give it 5 out of 5 as well.
I love "House Of 1000 Corpses" but I was a little let down after "Devils Rejects." My expectations were probably too high. I don't know what it was. I thought the story was unfocused, and I got really tired of the shaky camera.
But any movie that gives us P.J. Soles, Sid Haig, and Bill Mosely on the big screen can't be all bad, and maybe it will inspire people to check out "House" if they haven't seen it yet. I'm glad it's getting such great reviews too. Ebert & Roper gave it 2 thumbs up, so I'm happy for Zombie & Co.!
i knew it wasn't going to be like "House" so i went in there expecting a new movie and got just that.
I feel crappy that I didn't like it, because I'm a big fan of "House." I'm glad it's getting good reviews and I hope it does really, really well.
I was a little let down with this one, but still liked it. I'm also a big fan of House and thought that House was more scary, this one was just, well I can't really think of what to call it. I will however say that the opening to Devil's Rejects had one of the best suspenseful moments ever with the photograph, I loved it.
The paper in my city gave it a 0 \ 5 LOL.
But I still want to see it.
I loved it. For me it was Hal Ashby doing a Kathryn Bigelow movie with a hint of Monte Hellman thrown in. I'm going to see it again tonite.
I'm going to go see this tonight
I liked "House of 1000 Corpses," I hope this is even crazier!!
