For those of you who play Counter Strike... who makes / what model is that Five-Seven Pistol?
FN manufacturer's the pistol. Yes, its production name is also called the five seven. It is only available to Military/police personnel.
That's the Fabrique Nationale (FN) model Five-seveN (yes, that's how they spell it). It fires a law enforcement/military only high velocity 5.7x28mm armor piercing round, so it's not available on the civilian market in the US.
damn.. that is one awesome gun. wish i had one. oh well
Somehow I don't think that would fit in my hand very well.. how about you?
Well, the design doesn't *appear* to be the greatest, but neither does the 1911 and i'm comfortable with that. Never actually laid hands on the 5-7, but the bullets aren't much different lengthwise than a .38.
i have monster size hands anyway.
Rumors are going around that our state police has one. If i can weasle some time, i'll get pics and a report.
You mean a .38 super? those look long to me..
What is the magazine capacity?
5.7x28mm...figure a .357 Mag is about 38mm...Okay, so closer OAL to a 10mm Auto. The pictures are sort of deceiving, gotta remember that the bullet isn't much larger than .22 caliber and at a pint sized 23gr even makes the average 32gr .22LR look porky. It supposedly puts around 400ft/lb on target and runs in the range of 2800fps, claiming to defeat a PASGT vest at up to 300 yards.
Mag holds 20 rounds and the weapon is available in DAO or a single action "tactical" variant with a manual trigger block safety.
Velocity is close, but .223 FMJ is 1200ft/lbs or more, depending on bullet weight.
