We needed a 5 page car thread for today.
have you driven an S2k?
RX-8: Direct linkage, a light clutch that is easy to modulate, and it takes abuse like no other.
i really liked the 03 cobra shifter.
the 240sx has the best standard of any car under 50k
T-56 is a decent tranny, what about the 6 speed in the STI, ive heard good things as well.
the kia sportage has the shortest shifter with a triple plate platinum plated clutch.
Well, it's easy to build a tranny to hold torque measured in in.lbs.
Too bad the car gets horrible gas mileage and eats oil.
I used to like my rotary engines, but fuck that noise... gas costs too much anymore.
BTW, Mazda club AutoX tomorrow. You coming?
Drive a BMW and you will realize how truly uniformed you are about how good a manual transmission should really feel.
took the words outta my mouf
agree with first post
you gotta be kidding me.
i used to drive one
you can't be serious.
The T-56 is a brute and the best choice for very high horsepower. It is a fantastic transmission, but the shift action is some of the worst ever experienced.
It's like dragging a tree limb through gravel.
Personally, I would say that the Rx8 is probably one of the best feeling. The S2k and Miata are about the same though.
350z is pretty good too.
I haven't, but I have driven NUMEROUS other cars (the dealerships around here are starting to catch on ) and nothing has been close to the 8.
I've got to the point that I just say and enjoy the car. Every car has it's quirks.
