For USA i'd say Revolutionary War.
Without it, we'd still be under her majesty's rule
I will prob have to agree with you there
Please stop talking like that.
You're probably either
A. Not black, or
B. Not hard
Everyone talks like that in some areas of the country - no matter what color or what body type you are.
But it does look on a message board.
For Israel it's probably the Liberation War of 1948, although the Yom Kippur War of 1973 had Israel fighting for its existence as well.
That wasn't technically in their country's history. (although "Israel" can be traced back a helluva long way)
I know it was important to them - but they weren't involved in WWII as a Country, so it doesn't fit with the thread topic.
Canada's involvement in WWI outweighed our involvement in WWII. Apart from that...
Israel came to be because of WW2, that is true. I was talking about wars that Israel actually took part in, though.
And, just because I'm sure you're gonna mention this even if I don't; no, Britain recruiting willing Jews from Palestine and having them parachute over Europe does not count.
if i were Israel, i'd say the 6 day war. You guys kicked ass!
Israel wasn't even a country then.
probably war of 1812, but the main reason it's #1 is 'cause it was on our soil
Possibly the war of 1066
The battle of Hastings
I always thought we did more in ww2
