maybe someone can explain to me what the fuck is going on here. all of a sudden, seemingly out of nowhere, half of the people at my gym have inexplicably started using chains for every exercise Yesterday, there was a guy curling (in a squat rack, of course) an oly bar with chains and no weights. 120lb kids are bench pressing with chains + 10's. You name the exercise, and we've got about 15 people now using chains, and little or no weight, to do it. not 2 weeks ago, the chains would spend 99% of the time bunched up in the corner, save for rare usage by a more experienced lifter. Now they are literally in use 100% of the time. am i missing something here?
