Tie in to Discovery final season somehow.
Drumheadthe borg suits from TNG did not age well visually, especially now that we have HD, but otherwise Best of Both Worlds remains an absolute banger.
His list was blankThey don't have any lasers in their eyes, so they must think it's Star Trek enough.
one of the only complaints being about the legal status of romulan aleHis list was blank![]()
I mean even I'm starting to like it and I've been shitting on it this whole timeone of the only complaints being about the legal status of romulan ale![]()
i had completely written it off but y'all's comments plus a couple of youtube video clips made me give season 3 a go, and it really does feel as close to TNG as we're going to get in this trek era.I mean even I'm starting to like it and I've been shitting on it this whole time
Just finished it. Man what a wonderful episode. Gave me a bit a euphoric feeling. It's so refreshing to watch a great episode of trek, and not know what's going to happen next. This last episode, Episode 4 of Season 3, was great!!![]()
So, I have to say, this is the first episode that I can say I actually really enjoyed. It felt like Star Trek.
I didn't realize it until the episode was over, but it's probably because there wasn't any Rafi/Worf bullshit. Sorry, Worf.
I remember screaming at the end when there were lights on the ship when they were riding the wave. I WAS LIKE THERE ARE FOUUUUUR LIGHTS!!!!
My ONLY problem with this...so honestly as good as that scene on the holodeck is, i love it even more because it points to something else in Trek canon... Wolf 359 was such a desperate fight that pretty much EVERY Starfleet officer of a certain age will have been involved in it. Sisko, Shaw... these guys are representative of an entire generation of Starfleet officers that was victimized by Locutus--the fact that it echoes in Picard's life decades later is probably the best choice they've ever made thematically.
My ONLY problem with this...
There was a Season 2...and in Season 2 there was the friendly JaBorgi...so how did the events of Wolf 359 still take place if they basically re-did the Borg?
It was a great scene, but as usual, they forget about what they just previously wrote...even if Shaw made a dig at Season 2, it still doesn't make sense. Shaw said, "Forgot about the pretend Borg you heard about, there are REAL Borg still out here". Something to that effect.
