Are you talking about my all-time favorite episode of Star Trek The Next Generation, Lower Decks? If so, I can relate to Ensign Sito. She, like I, gets judged unfairly by classmates and coworkers in life, but eventually proves herself. That is an inspirational story.

In 10 years discovery will either be haten or forgotten. It'll battle enterprise and the animated series for worst series, and discovery will win every time.

If you're wanting to marathon it i recommend waiting until the end of season 3. Picard seasons 1 and 2 should not exist and should be ignored by everyone.

I read the episode synopses, and think I'll just skip to season three.

couple of particular fun/interesting points: about 36 minutes in he gets genuinely choked up talking about getting to be on Star Trek, it's cool to see that passion; a few minutes later he stares right into the camera and goes, "you know, i'm about to compare you to Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Terry [Matalas]! Write this down! This is the day!"

I like it though. Never bothered with Prodigy, seems a little TOO cartoony and really for kids.

I mean it's good, still not great, definitely should have started here. But my main nitpicks for this episode...

Did they stop having a "weapon discharge" alert on these ships?

Mobile emitters are just a thing everybody has now even though it's from the 29th century, guess they said fuck it about the temporal prime directive on that technology.

It was something else I had, but I'm under a hair dryer and can't think straight now.
