It's ridiculous that I even need to do this but shit has been getting out of hand again. First off, let me link the rules of OT as a whole. http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=2026137 Specifically, I will point to two items noted in the Tier 1 section On posts alone, this is the 3rd largest sub-forum of OT. For the most part, despite that fact, you guys make the job of modding this forum very easy. In fact, it was easy enough that I was under the impression that I could step back for a while and let things just run themselves so to speak. Apparently, this was not the case. As many have pointed out, the fanboy trolling in this forum got more and more out of hand as time went on. The sticky helped but obviously it did not fix everything. So I'm laying out some rules that apparently we should have laid out a long time ago. 1) Keep the console trolling to the flame/clusterfuck thread. A couple notes to add to and clarify that. If you're posting simply to troll about how one console is better than another than it should go in that thread. This applies to threads you start and posts you make in someone else's thread. Every month or quarter, someone typically starts a thread covering which system sold more units. This is relevant data that deserves it's own thread and therefore is one exception to this rule. There are also posts about new features and the like. Not everyone is going to like Natal for instance, but saying 'Natal sucks' is a lot different then saying 'this faggot shit is why PS3 rules'. Seriously, if you can't figure out the difference between the two then just stick to the flame thread. This also is much less stringent in regards to threads about specific games. Not everyone likes the games you do. Leave it in that thread though and don't postwhore it over and over again. If shit gets too out of hand in this regard going forward then the mods, supermods or fazle will take the appropriate action. This can include various things including thread locks or deletions, or bans from the subforum or OT as a whole. 2) As much as possible, try to keep to one thread per game. Specific questions get lost in larger threads, so starting a new thread for quick things like that is understandable. In most cases these will be locked or merged into the other thread as the issues are settled. That's pretty much it. Keep in mind. I'm around a lot now, so if you have a need to reach me for whatever reason, (questions/snitching/sticky requests) send me a PM. I'm leaving this open for now for suggestions/questions/discussion. Ah forget it. keep your gigantor threads.
