goddamn that was awesome. loved the first one.
:gfto: Silly xbox only owners never had a change to play one of the best RPG's in years.
Big PC RPG fan, but I didn't care for the first one. Trailer looks decent though, probably download it.
Once you got over the different style of combat the game was tits.
And what, PS3 and Wii owners have?
Unless I missed something, Witcher was a PC only game.
Great fucking game by the way.
Oooohhhh speaking of that.
I have a copy of the Witcher for PC (completly legit mind you) that I wouldn't mind parting with. I'll give it to you for free if you are willing to pay shipping.
(no I won't rape you on shipping, just $5 to my Paypal account and I will ship it media mail)
There is a tiny catch that I am not sure how to get around. PM me.
Since I brought it up:
I purchased a physical copy a couple years ago at Wall-Mart (well whenever it was brand new, I guess that was a couple years ago).
Anyways, I like to install this game and screw with it every once in a while.
Well, when they came out with that uber patch this game turned into a total pain in the ass to install.
Now, dont get me wrong, it was a justifiable pain in the ass. That uber patch was worth all the effort. It is just - it is a complete pain in the ass to install.
So, The Witcher came to Steam. I waited till it got down to like $10 on a weekend deal and bought it on Steam. Now when I want to play it I use the Steam version and I never have to concern myself with having to patch the physical copy ever again.
So, I end up with the physical copy just collecting dust.
Hence, I have it to give away.
Now I mentioned a catch...
Here is the catch.
In order to install the uber patch (and believe me YOU WANT IT. I am doing you no favors giving you this game if you can't install that patch) you have to connect to the Witcher website and login the key to the website.
The key is already associated with my account on there website.
There is no way to unnasociate it with the website.
The best I can figure out I can either completly give you the account forever and ever. Sucks for you cause you will be known as Stilgar1973 if you ever decide to use the forums. Sucks for me cause if I ever decide to use the forums I can't use that login.
Or I can give you a onetime password (I just change it a couple days later) to utilize my account. That really sucks for you cause you can never reinstall the game without getting in touch with me.
I was gonna give this game away at Christmas but I couldn't figure out a solution to this problem.
I still can't, but if you are willing to work with me on this small catch, I am willing to part with the game for the price of shipping it media mail.
I need to get the first one now that I have a PC....
I mean, fuck that. If you are going to go that route then you don't need my copy, just download it from a torrent site or newsgroups.
I believe in paying for the games I play. I also believe that I have a right to give away or sell (or even *gasp* sell at a profit) physical games that I own.
If you are going the cracked exe route then you don't need me.
$5, PM me.
That's why. My suggestion solves this problem, while still allowing an honest person to pay for the game...
i wanna try this game cause by the gameplay trailers part 1 looks like dragon age kinda. is the fighting like it in part 1?
Couldn't be less like dragon age.
It has this weird mouse click system.
In on this game, first one was terrific
I liked the mouse system in the first one, made for great lazy gaming (easy to smoke a cigarrete even in the middle of combat) while at the same time being able to control your character quite well
looks pretty cool, I might actually have to play the first one now...
too bad it's still $40 on steam
You realize if you're trying to give away your copy of the game, there is no difference between someone getting your copy or pirating it? Neither you nor the makers of the game are making or losing money.
It's kind of dumb to invoke some kind of moral high ground about using a cracked .exe when it easily solves all your problems of giving the game away (the one you bought and own and can give away)
It's worth it, graphics are still pretty good today and the core gameplay and mechanics are great.
Found it for 10 bucks on impulse....so far i rike it a rot
first game was incredible, but f'n plagued with huge load times and glitches
if they up the ante on this one i'll jizz everywhere
