GSP's riddum will be megafucked after eating a few legkicks.
He won't be able to make weight so GSP >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alves
As soon as he throws his usually jab jab leg kick GSP is gonna overhand right and take him to the ground. I love Alves and think he's a good fighter, but GSP will rape him no doubt.
How can you throw leg kicks when laying on your back?
Dragon would of had half the forum convinced of the OP thoughts if it was him.
He negged every attempt Koschek made, who you fuckers sackride shamelessly, i dont think stopping GSP's take downs will be too out of his league.
Where did Drag On go? I havent been around.
gsp's takedowns > koscheks takedowns
@ you thinking Koschecks takedowns are as good as GSP's.
I like Alves also but GSP probably watched the fight and will find a way to outsmart him then beat the living fuck out of him.
@ you thinking GSP will be ontop forever
He won't be. GSP always pushes the pace/positioning and seriously watch a gsp takedown they are solid. He kinda twists about a half step as he takes them down and does it so flawlessly too. I wish I could train with someone who had takedowns like him. Now if you said Koscheck displayed better standup than GSP has lately, then I wouldn't have laughed so hard.
Yeah, because then id be at myself.
GSP Got face fucked by a wee long island troll with mediocre striking, and lay and prayed Kos to a win. If Thiago keeps up the good work on his take down defense then GSP will be history.
I guess this is where we agree to disagree. GSP has given me no reason to doubt him and he is always improving. Plus with the amount of time and dedication he puts into his training. I like Thiago and I think he's a good fighter, but he isn't at GSP's level yet. If this fight happens I say GSP takes it. Whats the difference between wrestling with someone for 3 rounds or what Thiago did was standing there for 3 rounds? There isn't and that's a big problem with UFC fan's who think they need to be standing and swinging for 5 minutes straight.
Fuck you and your diplomatic conclusions to disagreements!
gsp's superman punch > alves' superman punch

gsp got caught by serra, oh well. that was one fight and he more than redeemed himself in the rematch.
gsp kept active on top of kos and had a kimura locked up on him. that wasn't laynpray homie.
gsp's mma takedowns > kos' wrestling takedowns
fitch and kos took gsp to decision because they used their wrestling to stand back up.
gsp has a very good chance of finishing alves with elbows or thiago giving up and rnc to get out of the cage.
translation, Alves doesnt have GSP's Riddum.
GSP has the advantage in striking, takedown, takedown defense, BJJ, speed, and overall athleticism.
Only advantage Thiago might have over GSP is brute strength.
GSP should take this in the 2nd or 3rd.
Didn't Alves lose to Fitch, who then had his shit pushed in for 5 straight rounds to GSP?
I agree with all except striking. GSP's striking could use a bit more polishing before it's better than Thiago's. GSP has a lot of potential in his stand up, but he hasn't really displayed it lately.
i dont doubt alves can give GSP trouble as he is a very dangerous opponent, but GSP is still a clear fav imho
Alves is HUGGGE and has solid MT.. but GSP is more well-rounded and has all the tools to beat Alves. This is a hard fight to call but all the cards are stacked in GSP's favor.
Not to mention GSP is A LOT better at cutting to 170 and has gone 5 rounds. Alves has 1 way to win the fight, GSP has 20.
