Selling my gear v.Canon5D

Alright, here goes. All this stuff has factory packaging, warranty cards, etc.
Prices include shipping. Paypal +3%:
5D + Grip: $800

Charger, 2 Canon Batteries, 2 Generic batteries: $100
Canon 5D Ee-D Focusing Screen $30
Manfrotto 190XPROB aluminum tripod w/ 804RC2 head: retail is $190, it's damn near brand new. Make me an offer as I dont have any idea how much shipping is.
Lowepro Vertex 100AW bag: retail is $145, make me an offer. As new condition.

Canon 5D Ee-S Focusing Screen $30 SOLD
24-70 f/2.8L $1050 SOLD
580EX2: $350 SOLD
70-200 f/4L $500 SOLD
85 f/1.8 $320 SOLD
50mm f/2.5 compact macro $150SOLD

All the L lenses and 85mm have B+W UV filters on them since purchase and will be included. the 50mm macro has a generic UV filter and will be included.

The 5D has a weird issue currently, hence the lower price. The camera's LCD displays pictures incorrectly and the options in menus are greyed out when not selected. I've tried reflashing the firmware and resetting everything but it hasn't fixed it. The sensor is absolutely fine and in the gallery is a sample shot as well as pictures of what shows on the camera.

I can't find the following items:
70-200: warranty card, lens case
85mm: lens box, warranty card, manual
5D+Grip: warranty cards

Pics will be taken later tonight. Tripod is barely used, I'd put it at 99.5%.

Yes the remote shutter is factory Canon.

Do you absolutely need to sell everything?

Why not keep the 5D and the 24-70 and sell everything else.

You could still get ~1500 probably and when you do want to take some pics, its there waiting.

This kit has sat in my closet for a few months now and I just don't see myself having time to get back into photography in the near future. :(

Canon 5D + Grip
580 EXII
24-70mm f/2.8L
70-200mm f/4L
50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro
85mm f/1.8
75-300mm III
Lowepro Vertex 100AW bag
Manfrotto aluminum tripod w/ 804RC2 head
Various Sandisk Extreme III/IV 4 & 8GB CF cards
Various accessories (batteries, extra battery charger, remote shutter trigger, blah blah)

What's all this stuff worth these days?

My estimate is

Camera and grip with all the extras-$1000-$1100
24-70-$900
70-200-$500
85-$275

The rest of the stuff I'd have to research.

I sold a compact macro for $140 a couple weeks ago. It's a great lens but nobody wants to buy them since they are so slow. Most ask ~$180 for them but I see those sitting on the market for a loooooong time.

5D is between $900 and $1000

Honestly it's not a matter of needing to sell for cash influx, it's a matter of simplifying my life. I've got way too much shit that I rarely use and my hobbies have become collections. They end up adding stress to my life rather than relieving it, so it's time to sell some shit. :hs:

And when I have the need for a DSLR I've got a friend with two 5DM2's and a 1DM3 that I'm free to borrow whenever. That helps with the thought of separation anxiety!

i think i'm going to sell all my shit

then put every dollar of it on red or black

if it hits, i'll upgrade to a d700

I'd be interested in your 24-70 and the tripod

PM me when you figure out pricing and if you'd be willing to separate it out

It's cool, I just picked up the 24-105L so I'm going to have to cool my jets for a little. Thanks for the courtesy though. :bigthumb:
