and a leaf...
1) Cute, nice colors good composition.
2) blurry, and with him/her upside down it's just meh.
3) I love it. The speculars on the drops and on the top left of the leaf are a bit distracting, but otherwise it's nice.
#1 is good
#2 would have been good if the focus was proper
1 and 3 are awesome. 2 would have been good if it was in focus.
I love how shiny the ladybug looks I didn't notice it was out of focus until someone mentioned it I guess I'm just not technical enough
It still kills me that you're using a point and shoot.
I liek the first a lot. especially with the shadow at the bottom. it's like the little fella is climbing up to the top of the blade of grass to get into the light. very uplifting image
Here's another similar to 2...I'm just not happy with the background, too busy and colorful...I focus more on the background than I do on the subject with it.
I love 1 and 3.
There's a shadow cast on the subject too, turning it bluish. I would put a mask on that fella and do a white balance just on him.
Point and shoot....aim...click.
Canon SX100 IS
"fuck you, Im a ladybug!"
a point and shoot camera, it's what he uses.
Proof that you don't need $5000 gear to take amazing pictures
Looks like someone is playing with CHDK on their SX100.
I have been too.
But there are far more instances where a P&S would not serve for shit.
I have the first Gen Casio Exilim and that damned camera takes some Incredible pictures. There are certain situations where to this day I'll whip it out in place of the Nikon dSLR and Glass...
I have an old Konica Minolta that is the same way.
I turned it up to f16 for the leaf shot. RAW is nice, though I seem to have a rough time getting the white balance right.
1 & 3 are
