for the weddings coming up in two weeks.
exactly. renting is a waste of money. Just do it.
I know I did.
11-16mm 2.8 is in the mail.
How much does the 85 1.4 run new? Just buy it and we can have a bokeh-off between your 85mm 1.4 and my 85L
I don't have $1700 to dump right now.
$1,100 now w/ the price increase at B&H.
It was below a $1,000 before and I should've bought it.
funny and related story...
Today, I checked to see how many points I have on my Citi Card. 21,000... SWEET!!!
I went to the "THANK YOU" network to see what I could buy. Noticed the camera section. Went in and saw they have the D3x, D3, and assortment of lenses, including the 85 1.4!!! Figured w/ that many points I'd get some money off and pay the rest, right? WRONG!!! I clicked on it, I was still 15X,XXX points short. At the bottom of the page I saw a link that said "buy extra points". Sounded like a good plan, until I saw what they want... 100,000 points for $2,500!!! Then I'd still have to buy another (almost) 40,000 points.
If you do the calculation of $40 per point I'd be buying per 100,000 points... the 85 1.4 would be damn near $6,000!!!
pic for reference.
LOL what a rip
just keep buying lenses....you'll have enough points in no time
you know it's true
the equivalent of 6k...hell that's a D3x
new camera in the line for Girth?!!!!
Maybe something small, sell the D300 in favor of a D3 or another D700 down the road. Who knows. I need to grow my collection of Prime lenses first. Maybe just do weddings with a 35 2 on one and 85 1.4 on the other. Make it as epic of a shoot as possible!
