It's amazing they can put this stuff in food (over 60% of foods in grocery stores contain some form of soy) considering what it can do to your body. Emasculating men, altering thyroid function, etc. There's been some research done that says babies taking soy formula are taking in estrogen levels equivalent to taking 5-7 birth control pills daily. :eek4:

I know a lot you already know to avoid the stuff, but this is even further evidence to avoid that crap:

Yeah, fuck soy.

We have a Peruvian cardiologist in our cath lab now, and he eats soy products like crazy. I dare not talk to him about it though, for I am only a nurse

I'd like to see some conclusive studies done on this...The author states some numbers but dosen't link any studies or reports in medical journals...a couple of my friends, who are in very good shape, have been vegetarian for more than four years. For Thanksgiving they had a Tofu turkey

I've seen women, with naturally high estrogen levels, in good shape. Doesn't mean I'd want to elevate my estrogen levels and make it harder for me to make progress.

Besides, do your vegetarian friends consume large amounts of soy or just on occassion? You can get quite a few vegetarian foods without the soy.

I made a post about how I went to a "healthy food" "festival" (for a lack of better name) and all there was was tofu, soy puddings, low-salt products and medicinal oil/herbs.

Not just on occasion, one friend teaches Martial arts, the other guy plays football 3 times a week...
I'm a vegetarian also...I eat ALLOT of soy, Tofu everyday, Boca (soy) burgers everyday (2-3 times sometimes), Soy sausage(2-3 times a week),TVP...
I'm 160lbs (my rep. on decline b.press is 320lb, so i do have titties.), have sex twice a day, workout 3 times a week, do kickboxing twice a week, and a fulltime student...So thats why i'm skeptical of this "doctor," who's paying his bills the chicken farmers?
It's more economical too, meat is expensive
But he was right about the flatulence part :o

I eat a lot of the bumbelbees brand tuna, which contains soy. Not sure how much is in a can. I am sure its only trace amounts but this article really makes me want to change the kind of tuna I buy.

if you are a true vegetarian, you don't have many options.
Soy is the only complete non-meat protein you can consume.

Quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat are pretty complete too. Soy isn't really a problem if it was fermented so products such as miso, soy sauce (tamari), tempeh and maybe others are fine although they have a low biological value when compared to animal products, especially eggs and red meat.

yes, but did you do this when you were two years old?

Most likely all the things you are doing increase your test levels and the soy is in spite of it. Try cutting out the soy and eat beef for 2-3 weeks and report back. See if your penis explodes :eek3:
