So, I was talking to my roommate about sodium, and he was telling me how there is no such thing as consuming too much sodium because any excess is just going to be flushed out of your body through your urine (something about being soluble). I was just :hsugh: through his whole speech. Anyway, is there any truth to this?

It will get flushed out, but until then you'll have the excess sodium. Like drunkgerbil said if BP isn't already an issue, and your kidneys work fine, there's no need to worry.

just remember to match increased sodium intake with increased water and potassium
