    When you snap shots with people in them, do you tell them ahead of time or just say fuck it and take the picture? I never know how to handle this situation, you don't want to seem like a weirdo taking pics of random people but you don't want to ruin the picture by alerting them your going to take it.

    Depends on the situation. If it's REALLY public (like downtown chicago) I just snap away.

    In this case, I walked up to him quietly not to bother him, but I was in his line of sight so it's not like I was sneaking up on him. He looked at me, and I gently said "do you mind if I take your picture?". Fish can hear, so I didn't want to piss him off.

    In some cases people don't want their picture taken, all you have to say is "That's alright, sorry to bother you. Have a nice day!"
