Biggest scam ever. Unless you're going through one on a daily basis what is the point of these things other than maybe the benefit of the undercarriage wash...?

    That is all.

How much does it cost to make one?
There is one here locally that I know that is touchless, and I prefer going to it over the other ones because I feel like the traditional carwash place with the old brushes that spin really fast damages the car/paint, or at least it looks capable of scratching it.

Oh I do not own the washes. I own a factory/lab that manufactures car wash/detailing chemicals. Touchless washes/ tunnel washes in good locations make a killing. Our avg touchless /tunnel wash customer uses $20-$50,000/year in chemicals per location

Uh...they absolutely damage your paint. There is no such thing as a paint safe automatic brush car wash. They don't exist.

@Scottwax tell me about this ONR.
    Is it really the hotness?

Do you think it would be effective on winter grime?

Its effective here when we get snow and they sand the intersections. If the car is really bad, you can go to a coin op car wash and blast the majority of it off, then go home and wash it with ONR.

I quit washing my truck. Every time I did, there was more paint on the ground than on the truck ... I think it may be time for a re-paint.

How do you feel about the waterless wash spray like Ultima?
Provided it's not caked on dirt obviously.

ONR is not that much slower, cheaper per use and can handle more dirt. Optimum has a waterless wash too, its okay but doesn't really save much time IMO.
